Integrative Psychotherapy

a holistic therapeutic process

I offer gentle and caring support combined with a belief in our inherent ability to heal

Areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, addiction, relationship issues, fatigue, stress management, life transition and adjustment issues.

With Integrative & Somatic Experiencing® approaches, even those who haven't experienced a particular trauma can access healing and self-regulation. Prolonged stress impacts our systems in many ways - including the nervous system, digestive and endocrine system, and neurotransmitters. By focusing on internal sensations, individuals can cultivate new experiences of mastery that serve as catalysts for physical and psychological recovery

Approach

Providing a holistic approach to care, I combine my studies in psychology with specialised training on trauma-informed practices.

My clinical practice encompasses therapy modalities including Somatic Experiencing®, psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, CBT, mindfulness, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy

My primary focus is that you feel comfortable to the work from a place of ease, trust and hope.

Relationships are where we heal, and that is why I take a strong relational approach.

Providing a safe space.

Therapy is a courageous journey, one that should be met with safety and compassion. While it can often lead us to difficult places within ourselves, we don't have to go alone! Here there’s space for you to heal in whatever form that may take - and no judgement along your path.

All your appointments will take place in our soothing office environment with fully private rooms and individualised care.

“The Art of Embodiment workshop was an eye-opening and enriching experience, it provided a clear understanding of how my nervous system interacts with my body.”

— FIONA. CLIENT

Meet Blanca.

With over 22 years of experience in community mental health, I am passionate about the relationship between neuroscience and somatic therapy.

Leveraging my psychology background, I incorporate trauma-informed and body-oriented psychophysiological techniques into therapeutic work, movement, yoga and mindfulness exercises.
